These quick and easy bulky fingerless gloves with optional thumbs and mitten tips provide the warmth of a mitten, while having the option to keep your fingers free when you need them! Last year, I got a nice insulated metal water bottle for Christmas. I love the way it keeps things cold for near 24 hours, and can even keep hot things hot for 6! The first time I took it to Chorale rehearsal though, I found out what I like least about metal water bottles - you knock them over by accident and they go CLANG far more loudly than you'd like. So my crochet gears started turning in my head about how I can fix this problem, and I came up with a bottle cozy! But I wanted a stiff one that wouldn't stretch or sag... so why not use plarn? I had already made a market bag with it and knew its properties - easy to clean, sturdy, eco-friendly - so I got down to it, and the following pattern is the result!
